Guys!! I got the e-mail!! AIP & OWP approved!! I'm so happy!! This is moving faster than I thought! I'll give more details later on. I'm on my phone, but I just couldn't wait to tell ya'll!

Since I havn't been logging in regularly, my congratulations to all AIP recipients before LaylaLala as well.......... Celebrate!

It is said that " patience is a virtue" but sometimes that patience just gets to you so badly that you don't want to wait any longer.... uhhh I hate this feeling.... ... Come On CIC... waited too long already...

PS: Congrats to all who got approved My husband and I got AIP's on the spot of the interview too but it's his PR we're waiting for.................................. :-X

And I just checked the CIC Processing times they've actually extended the stage 2 from 8 months to 11 months..... frusterated......

Yes salsal31! I couldn't believe it. I wonder if they work Sundays or if it's just an automated e-mail, although the letter did say Nov. 17th!

I am happy for you. You should receive your OWP in the mail most likely by Tuesday or Wednesday.. thats how quickly my husband got his OWP when he was actually going to get it on the day of the interview but because their printers broke so the officer mailed in the OWP same day. I'm sure you'll get it in couple days too. but all the best and Congrats again

I read somewhere - and I'm not sure how true this is - but after AIP there is a less likely chance of being interviewed? Any truth to that? Waiting another 11 months would help if I could know what to expect! Haha

I just checked on Friday and it has been changed from 8 months to 11 months for the step 2 where they verify all the security clearances medicals...

I already waited 22 months before they called us for first stage interview and now they changed the time to 11 months for step2 so it's a bit frusterating.

My understanding is that if CIC has any doubts about the genuineness of your relationship with your sponsor, they will schedule an interview before AIP. Once you get AIP, you should be in the clear if you have no criminal record or other issues that would affect eligibility for PR. There's a "landing interview" at the end, but that's not much of an interview at all. Just a few basic questions, a few signatures, and you're a PR.

Yes you're right, but it's another 11 months wait before they call you for Landing Interview as it shows on CIC. they just changed their times to 11 months from 8 months. I was told by the Immigration Officer that they normally review the step 2 apps fairly quickly as in no more than 4 - 6 months but however if they Local Office is busy they will take there full time... I wonder why My husband and I are always asked to wait... they made us wait an extra 14 months before they called us for an interview for 1 stage now they are making us wait again for PR.....
