Hi everyone, have been so busy lately and have not been here in quite a while, but just popping in to say that we got our DM letter today! Hubby has a landing appointment in November. Very happy and relieved this is all over. Best Luck to all of you who are still patiently waiting.

Congrats Dawlex :),

Did u send police (RCMP) certificates from Canada at the request of CIC after the AIP or earlier with ur initial application? My lawyer had told me to hold off on the RCMP certificate and the meds until the CIC sends me a letter.

If one has appoints a lawyer/representative in their PR/sponsorship application, does he also get the AOR and AIP notifications on one's behalf?

Yes! Because the "use of a representative" form has been filled out the lawyer will get the same notification afaik.

We sent the police (RCMP) check from Canada at the request of CIC after the AIP. (RCMP Check Reqested: 02-Aug-2013 and sent 14-Aug-2013). However, we did send in the police certificate from hubby's home country as well as the medical with the initial application.

and @guri ... for the spreadsheet, you can add a YES to the "medical and police done with application" column, and OWP was applied for on 30-Apr-2013 and rec'd 10-May-2013. Also, you had asked... he will be landing at London CIC.

Hi Line.a

I don't think u need to worry. Mine took only half an hour for all the tests(blood, eyes, physical, X-ray). Yes they do ask u to fill up a form regarding your medical details. But, while they were taking my tests I was asking them the reason for those particular tests. They are more concerned with something communicable. For instance blood test is done for HIV and syphillis. Chest X- Ray they told me is done to rule out lung cancer.
What I think is they are more concerned with major diseases or communicable ones.

This is what I think.....but I guess there people in this forum who have better knowledge about this who can help.

Take care

Hey sorry about my late reply. Alright that's good to hear, I was really getting worried for a short while there! Thank you :)

Thank you! Actually, we have just sent out our application. It has been delivere today.

I wanted to add the info on the side under my name, but still didn't figure out how to do this.

Must be a good feeling knowing it's been sent off. Hopefully no more paperwork! :)

If you mean that applicants go to the border, it's not correct. We can't land at the border.
Generally, inland applicants have the landing interview at the local office. Here is the list of the office.
