Well i'm not sure what page it's on in this thread, but I basically was told by peers on here that I am pretty much without status in canada anyways.

Then by all means do NOT withdraw your application!!
*edit*
To clarify on having no status currently. Yes it did make me freak out, as stated in a post a few weeks ago when I was told this. But a senior member on this forum told me that A) you do not need status as it does not affect your inland application and B) they are still honoring an old law where they will not come after you if you have a residence application in process. I am just hoping for this all to be true and accurate as i really have no other options.

There never was (nor is there now) a law preventing a person without status from being removed. There was once an Administrative Deferral of Removal that CBSA had, to allow those that had submitted an Inland application to remain, but apparently that ended in Nov 2011. It seems as though they are still adhering to that, but...who really knows.

In IMM 0008, I am the principal applicant with no dependants, on the form, i remove dependant section. Am i doing the right thing? or my spouse that is sponsoring me can be count as my dependant. Sorry for much question, am just trying to get things right.
Thanks all

If you don't have any children then you have no dependents.

I am trying to apply for work permit online, i don't have option to include my AIP and DM letter. Is somebody already done applying online.

I'm a July applicant. I haven't heard anything yet.

RRSweet, have you heard anything yet?

Yes but the wait times for some Outland locations are long. Per this link, LA is 26 months!

Omg its at July 30th!!

at least its moving!! slow as hell but any progress is better than no progress.

Lets hope that they are going to be shifting resources from temp / working holiday visa's to inland PR apps Aug 1st since there's only a month of summer left and most of the summer apps would have been in April - July

There at 50 days of applications ahead of mine, we have 121 days until her permit expires.. .. Even if it takes them two days to process 1 days worth of appliations, me and my common-law should be okay

*fingers crossed*

For those of you who have received your AIP, did you find out first via email or by obsessive check their website? I do both. All day long. :/

Hi there... i'm one of the timelines posted... just to clarify, the majority of us applicants get sent to Ottawa automatically, so the stat above doesn't concern 99% of US applicants. Generally, files only get kicked back to the US visa office (LA) if there seems to be an issue with the application (ie: criminality of applicant, non-accompanying dependant issues, etc.) There are only a handful of applicants that have files in LA. Generally if they are sent there, an interview will be conducted. For the most part, US applicants are landing in 5-7 months. There are some from the end of 2013 still getting processed, so there's also a group of applicants getting approved in 8-10 months. The interview is waived for these applicants.

The ottawa spreadsheet is in my signature, and is a great tool for understanding the current "trends".

I'm going to be kicking myself in the butt all day for not doing Outland.
