hey @Rifat I asked the agent concerning my office (montreal) i really dont know how it works in yours.. but its kind of weird to me that you got DM but still require to do medicals, are you doing background check too? Shouldnt that be, before DM? I guess your file takes time because it has been so long in the office...
So hey, this is what i found regarding medical exam:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob471.asp

"With the release of the new GCMS 4.0, it should be noted that all previous versions of the IMM 1017 form as well as the Appendix C will no longer to be used. With this release, there will be two newly-revised IMM 1017 forms:

IMM 1017: Medical Report: Client Biodata and Summary (not available on our website as it will be GCMS-generated along with medical instructions)
IMM 1017B: Upfront Medical Report: Client Biodata and Summary (not available on our website as panel physicians will have these forms in their office. With the implementation of the new IMM 1017B, Appendix C will no longer be required)"

So why dont you ask the doctor if he does indeed have them? for what i read, all doctors on the panel have the forms for upfronts... it might help you save time!

good luck and god bless

There is no form for that , all you gotta do is show at the clinic , bring your passport ,( if you don't have PP, then a driver license from Canada will do it ) when you get there they will give some paper work to fill up and just make sure you write your full name , DOB ,country of origin perfectly ( don't even need to write your UCI )
. And ask if they transfer the results to cic electronically , if they do , it will take one week to be on cic's system . Bring a lot a patience too , will need it bcus usually there are long waits on them clinics .

Thank you Tilikun,

So what do I do about the lab blood tests and the xrays... how will cic get those if the doctor will send the medical report to cic? Donisend them in desperately or is there a way the doc will send them all in cuz the blood test appointment is 3 days after the medical exam. I'm a little confused plz help.

Thanks.

Hey @ MaxLet,

Yeah the cic is doing the criminality background check too that's what our lawyer messed up for us if it wasn't for him we'd have only the medicals to do and that could've been done back in October and we'd be long a PR now. They received hubby FBI cert back in Jan n its still in rocess. We're hoping we'll get some good answer about soon.

Thank you so much giving me all the info its very useful n helpful. If we don't get a letter within next week for the medical we will just tell the doc to do the medical exam send it in without cics request form.

Hey @Rifat! now checking your timeline carefully... you state "DM FOR SPONSOR"... meaning you havent received "decision made" for the applicant yet? so you are not waiting for landing letter! you are waiting for applicant dm letter! that makes way more sense! thats why they keep requering things, and your lawyer's mess up with the fbi and meds...Normally we said AIP (sponsor aprouval) and DM for the end of the hole process... That's why I couldnt understand how could you be waiting to land and still have documents to present.
Indeed, from AIP to DM, timeline is 8 months, you got AIP on Oct 21 so 5 months ago.. your 8 months will be on june, that's why cic agents keep telling you to wait, cuz you still on the "normal" timeline. (the timeline is 8 months for aip and 8 months for DM but that doesnt count "special cases" like interviews before AIP like yours...)
So ok, thats why they told me I just have to wait 8 weeks max... cuz me I already finish the hole thing...and just waiting to land.
Sorry sweety, seems to me you havent yet received applicant DM... so you are not yet on landing schedule, your file keeps being threated.
...Your lawyer should have better explain this... !
You still in normal timeline for CIC... until june... so there's nothing to "worry" about... you are following normal course... plus, nothing you can do to accelerate the process...

Good luck and God bless!

Out of luck again guys...... nothing from cic still. We have gone 1 week over 5 months for the landing letter n still nothing..... plz keep us in your prayers too.

Congrats to all who have received aip/dim/owp/pr and landing dates.

I pray and wish everyone all the very best in this waiting game played by cic.

God bless us all :-)

@Rifat, this was a post you did a few weeks ago, and that is what made me believe you were only waiting to land... but you havent yet finished the process...You have to clear this up with your lawyer...it kind of seem to me that you are confused...

Rifat, I would book your Medical exam, if not already done already with the doctor that does the Emedical, ( a lot faster as it is sent in electronically) when I did mine I showed them my passport and my CIC numbers and Info, etc. they did my photo themselves too. They sent me for the lab tests and the X-ray and the results get sent directly to the doctor that did your Emedical exam, so when the test reports come back they submit the entire report electronically to CIC. Make sure that they have your phone number in case they have any follow up questions. I also read somewhere that you can submit your medical exam receipt yourself ( keep a copy of it) to CIC to show them that it's been done and they say that this helps them match up your medical exam to your existing file once they get it.
God bless and best of luck !

Hello.
If you have not referenced it already, here is the link to the 2013 spreadsheet that may shed some light at how things are progressing. You can have your info added as well by sending a PM to guri3577.

Sorry, I see now that you are already on the spreadsheet, my bad.....

I'm feeling good about next week for everyone who's applications were transferred to CPC-M. I think the update to July 8 means that CPC-M has now taken over. I also believe they've been reviewing files this whole time and there'll be AIP emails flying! I spoke to an agent last week who told me that everything is going according to plan with my application and I will be hearing very soon. I'm feeling optimistic! Good luck to us all!

Hey guys,
So I end up calling CIC today since no landing letter for me yet :(
I got in contact with an extremely nice agent who was nice enough to check my file and told me that it had already reach montreal. And that it marked "letter sent" with date of yesterday.. so probably ill get my letter early next week :)
He also told me that landing letters should not take longer than 6-8 weeks after DM. And when it takes long, is cuz is a harder case. (dependents, file that got transfer before aip, etc) but an smooth case like mine doesnt take longer than 8 weeks,
So yeah, im kind of relief, i also ask him a few more personal questions about my file and some doubts i had... and he was really nice and answer everything..
I guess there's hope for cic agents :) Some of then are indeed trying to do their job or at least threat us well :)

Good luck and God bless

Hi Maxlet, congrats for getting good news for your landing letter! I'm just wondering what you meant for "And that it marked "letter sent" with date of yesterday"? Do you mean the letter that CIC Montreal sent to you by snailmail before the actual landing letter (for checking your identity, landing fee and photos)? I'm still waiting for the first letter by CIC Montreal, but no news yet....

They don't always update that status. Mine still says that same thing, well, I my dates and landing office are different, obviously, however, I have already received my PR card and I was never able to see any kind of status regarding it's issuance. My guess is it is much like the processing of the original application. It depends on who your officer is and how much they update the system to reflect the work being done.

How long was it for you to get your PR card after landing

hey @crester!
uhmmmm good point! :S i was so excited i didnt ask which of the two letters appeared as sent! im guessing is the mysterious letter that only quebec applicants receive :) i read that after you receive it you have only 5 days to send it back so better have documents in hand.
but if the agent says that montreal has 6-8 to program your landing, im guessing that when they send the mysterious letter, they already have you booked in a date only waiting your reply to confirm it... and if you do not reply fast, then they put you back in line...
let me know if you hear something :)

god bless and good luck
