So friends, is this the week we finally move away from the imfamous October 8th, 2012!?!?!?

Odds are probably not haha, but in a few hours we will know! Wouldn't it be nice to see like December 5th or something huge like that.

Although it seems like in the 2012 thread there are a decent amount of DM's coming through, there are very little if any AIP's. Maybe they are clearing out the DM's before they get to the AIP's?

Enough ranting from me, I hope all is well with everyone.

Sup Brotato Chips,

I don't think it will be moving anytime soon to be honest. There haven't been any AIP's in the past month for 2012, but tons of DM's, so I would agree they are clearing applications first then moving on to give AIP's. I don't think we'll see any progress until August though, it tends to slow down in the summer. But hope for the best and plan for the worst!

@ causa31
that would be great news it might not change as yet tho....but I strongly believe when it does its gonna go past October 25 that is when the new rules came into effect. I guess some might hv not thought of it that way but I also think that post October 25 2012 to now there was a decrease in the # of spousal sponsorships and this is good news for us as our apps will be processed faster. in addition I think that a high percentage of 2013 applicants will received AIP and DM together.

Sad to say but 2013 applicants have a long wait ahead of them. Many of you guys won't be getting any updates until late this year. Sit and hold tight

I agree but the good thing about it is that there will definitely be a light at the end of the tunnel and knowing that is kinda good enough to help me get through I got a gym membership a few weeks ago and am already seeing improvements in my upper body area as a guy dt makes me feel good .....lol

I just want the AIP/OWP, could care less about how long the entire thing takes (unless its like 3+ years haha), just let my girl work and we're both happy.

Isn't the 1st stage the 'easier' one to do anyways, it's mostly about the sponsor and red flags.

*sarcasm*

Ok I've been gone for a while and I come back and all I hear is that our 2013 inland applications are going super slow?! So how long can we expect to be unemployed and bored outta our minds?

We applied in February man I just want to get my OWP :-[

^
I applied on January 22nd, with a February 15th AOR. I'm hoping to get my OWP by mid October/November 1. Shoulda have originaly got it end of July/August but now hoping for a few months later.

Oh my goodness yeah that's a long time so that's because the strike I'm assuming?
It certainly isn't easy to live off one income and having a dog that needs to be taken care of too.
I have already lost my mind a few times not being able to do anything but "the ordinary duties at home type if deal" so I sure hope they pick up the phase and let us work again!!

Tell me about it! plus I go back to school in september (im the Canadian) so we will have no income for X amount of months. I could be wrong and my girlfriend says im pessimistic haha but I cant see it being before October. I hope they get their butts moving soon.

Ouch that I can see that being stressful! Yah they sure dont make it easy. I am going to be one happy girl once I receive my PR time to kick up the feet with a cold beer in my hand lol! Hopefully you guys get your OWP by the time you're going to study :)

we are struggling as it is right now with all the bills and living expenses and I feel helpless not working! -.-

Yeah this whole process really stinks.
another frustrating part for us, is we live in Edmonton and the Vegreville office is 1 hour away. Somedays I want to drive there and tell them to start working faster haha. but that will probably end up with a deportation.
I'm with ya on the cold beer + about 10 =)
