It's 6 months after you've applied. It couldn't ever be after AOR because some applicants do not get AOR. But call centre agent's information is not credible. If u call three times of the day u get three different responses, even if u get the same agent

I see what you are saying.... it was just a thought because technically the date we applied also involves mail time and everything else..... then we sit on a desk waiting for someone to enter it into the system ( where it becomes "received") Im no rocket scientist, but having worked in many office setting (including DND) we never consider anything received until it is stamped with a date. lol
Just trying to make sense of why your 6 mths might be taking longer than you anticipated :)

@thatgirl123
My sixth month was last Friday. Still see they're stuck on October early applications. My friend, krissikris received hers last week. It was more than two weeks over due

yeah already 3 times but everyone there told me just, that i have to wait, that everything seems fine, but i have to wait.
if i don't get any email until 15 may, i can call again...

@serenity

What do they mean by everything looks fine? So why can't they issue AIP since all is OK? This process is too retarded

Am I missing something here re declaring family member

On form 5406 Part C
why does it say
SECTION C

Write personal details about your:

brother(s),
sister(s),
half-brother(s) and half-sister(s),
step-brother(s) and step-sister(s).

If you are filling out the Application for Permanent Residence from within Canada – Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada Class (IMM 5289), do not complete this section.

i really don't know. i asked if they can tell me why it's so late and what's the status right now of my file. But they said, they can't tell me that. Just that everything looks normal and i should wait. it drives me crazy, that no one there can give you real information.
i already wait 7 month, i need a new work permit soon. but no one can help...
i wait until 15 may and then i will call again.... :(

@Nigea
That's what they said if ur completing application in Canada do not complete that form. My friend did his sponsorship application here, didn't include it and they sent to ask for it. It doesn't kill to include it. It'll save you time.

@serenity

As u see I should have gotten AIP from Friday. Called them this morning and they agent said she sent them a request to update my file so let's see. Call them again to have a request made on your behalf. Some agents know the process more than others do. But I believe ur gonna get both steps complete same time

Yes. That is correct. You only need to complete section A and B. But not C.

You do not list your brother and sisters, etc if you are sponoring within canada your spouse. I guess this means that you are wasting your time lÍsting your siblings since they will not able to be sponsor by you. They have to apply for permanent resident to canada independently through point system.

We have filled this portion out. I guess it is an oversight on our part. We have receievd decision made despite this oversight.
