Canadian citizen was the reply for me?about the 11months initial approval? if yes ok this is what immig told me i made sure i called on diff days and asked 6 diff people but you know these call center guys can be alittle off too sometimes. They told me because of my inital approval although i was single in jan -2011 does apply to my hubby too.so with the add on he doesnt have to go thru first stage approval our file is second stage approval.wondering if anyone has gone thru this before? to help guide us

I think it was a reference to the wait times page on the CIC website We keep our eyes glued to that page

Personally I used an immigration consultant and honestly, I could not have done it without him. It is not that easy to fill out the forms. There are so many little things you need to know and he gave me so many pointers on how we can make our application better. I was not going to sit here day after day and go through everything with a fimne tooth comb. Now with this being said, I PRAY that we don't get transferred. I cannot wait any longer.

Now, with more important business.

Hi guys CIC updated their processing times.....now processing application received on December 31,2010 a jump of 12 days and

have change the pocessing time for first stage to 11 months and second stage still remains 8 months.....its been

good jumps this past 2 weeks.hope to hear good news from those waiting.....Get ready January applicant for lots of good news.stay focus and be

positive.....just received my OHIP card. ;D .good luck to all 8)

I looked at the chart and wondered if these people got any update from eCas. They're all Sep and earlier applicants.

I'm Oct applicant so I really want to see the update from previous people to expect when I should see the new update.
If you are around, could you please update us, guys?

Nope, no update, just says we received your app to sponsor so and so on Aug 23, and when my wife logs in with her client ID just says we received your app for permanent residence on Aug 23, and that's it.

I don't expect to hear anything from them until next year around August or so, I've come to terms with the fact that this is a long long process.

I was just wondering how you logged into ecas ? Why I ask is, I can log in using my client ID , the usual , in process. But that's for my permanent residence. We have tried logging in with my husbands surname and receipt number to check his sponsorship application but we can't log in. He is sponsoring me
Where did you get the file number.

Thanks for the update Nazam. Would you mind to let us know the date they had received your app on eCAS? We can update the chart when Angus is back.
I had my clientID before applying for PR. However, when I did the medical exam, the doctor didn't even ask for it. So, I'm supposed they will match by name and the medical receipts.
Doing medical exam before or after sending your app is just trade-off. If you do it first and by anyway your app requires longer than 1 year, you may have to re-do it which costs money. Some people said that if you're too close to expired date of medical check and your app. is nearly done, CIC may speed up to avoid asking you for re-doing it. However, there is no confirmation on it.
If you don't do it first, later when CIC asks for it, it costs you extra waiting time (around 3 months).
The decision is from you.

The chart has been handed over to me. I have been going through the forums on who to add or what. I will probably get it done by tonight.

The problem is not about her coming back or what. The thing that pissed me off is that if you have taken a responsibility, it should be taken care of. Instead you just leaving it off in the middle for whatsoever reasons.

I agree! I wish I knew excel well or I would help !! The google document is really cool I haves it saved as a fav on my Internet browser so I can always check it !

Ok guys this is my case. I applied for permanent residency once i got accepted as a protected person. app in may 2010 for pr.got first stage approval jan-2011 then on july 1st 2011 i got married.put in my spouse's add on application and sent it to immigration.2 days after went to get mail and got a letter saying my pr application was completed am to go to the mississauga office july 13th and get landed.my hubby and i went to the office and told them about my application for add on i had sent for my hubby and everything else.i was told right on i cant get landed cuz of the add on application so i wld have to wait for my hubby's too.in august we got a letter to prove our marriage is genuine bla bla sent them that recieved end of august.i later called immig and they said cuz of me,my hubby's application is in second stage automatically.now i really dont know when to start counting the 8months it takes is it from july?august?sep?worse is he cant work cuz my previous first stage approval applies to to him too so he cant get a work permit he has to wait till the 8months are up?any ideas on hw we can apply for a wp?sorry too long but thx for any help

Try posting this question on Inland Application 2010 thread. There might be some people who have cases like you.

Logically, you have to wait and You can call CIC and ask when the 2nd stage starts for your husband. Ask CIC of how to apply for his Open Work Permit if he is approved for 1st stage as well. You might have to submit an application for that. They will have the record for your application.

Aww, thats so nice of you to ask. Infact, it is not that hard. I am just checking up the 2011 thread in case If I am missing any information.

Hello guys.


Its been a long long time since i last posted on this thread, but i have been reading everyday, like just watching without saying anything.

@: misha, antago, angus and everybody else in this thread let me ask you, Do you guys want me to take over the inland 2011 chart??? I know misha already offer to take care of it and update it constantly but i was just seen everybody getting crazy about no one updating it and i just spent about 4.5 hours trying to UNDERSTAND what angus did with the google documents tool, and i finally got it ufffffff !!! (tired).

But it is up to misha who already decided to take over it before i did and to everybody else in this little big community (we are a big family) if you guys don't like it or don't want me to keep it just let me know and i wont continue it, no worries.

By the way, because i just figured google docs out and its 12:48 pm and i feel really tired, i just added the first 7 people on angus chart just to let you guys have an idea how would it look like, you know like a sample.

If you guys give me green light to continue and take over it, i will get it all compleated by December 15 2011 at night time and also i will promise i will update it and keep it running until the last person on the chart get the PR app. done no matter what, because i do believe our chart is the heart of our inland brotherhood.

well, i should go to bed :'(
