In-Canada Approval letter

I received an approval letter today from CIC sent to my email regarding the approval of my WP application sent last December 29 stating the validity and document number. It also states that the document has been mailed. Just want to know how may weeks before I get it. Any In-Canada work permit applicants who already received their WP, please share your inputs.

Did you applied for WP (inside Canada) with new employer or existing employer ? Was it online ? I have also applied for new employer through online method on 15-Jan-2013 thus wanted to see by when I would get it. Your response is really appreciable.

Yes, it was an online application sent Dec 29, 2012 inside Canada for my new employer with NOC# 6212. Hope I would get mine in the mail and yours soon.

Thanks a lot for quick response, I applied for NOC 2173 hope it would be approved by this month end By the way please do let us know how much time it took for you to get physical WP.

Finally got the copy of my work permit today in the mail NOC 6212

Date of application - December 29, 2012
Approval letter sent on email- February 16, 2013
Received in the mail- February 18, 2013

Processing time- 51 days

It would be really helpful if you can please let us know that your MyCIC account was updated with approved status or you just received email regarding approval decision. How did you managed switch between jobs as I believe we need to serve notice period for the current employer (at least I am bound too) ?
