Dear experts,

I have some queries regarding migration process in Canada for 2014.

I am doing job as a Lead Engineer(Equivalent to Asst. Manager) in MNC.

I would like to apply for for immigration. My details are given below:

1. Age : 30
2. Year of Exp: 5yrs 10 months
3. Education: B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from a Reputed engineering university
4. IELTS 6.5(L-6, R-7, W-6, S-7)
5. Spouse IELTS: not given yet
6. Previous Job exp on Software Development and current job is related Software Development and Team management.

On which category can I apply? Which occupation would be suited for me?
I saw that Software Engineer is not accepted.

Can anyone please give me useful information by which I can apply in April, 2014?

One more thing is that the bank solvency should I have to show? Is it mandatory?

What should I have to sent to WES for assessing academic credentials?

When I have to sent it to WES?

Regards
Rumel

Thanks for ur reply.

I have checked..I am eligible but I am confused about my occupation Software Engineer or any Software development occupation. It is not enlisted.

Only Computer Engineers are available which caps already reached and dont know how many applicant can apply on those occupation.

Software developer occupation falls under "2174"
2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers

the NOC is also reached for 2174, so you will have to wait till may 2014 for the new cap. Note - there is no guarantee that the skills shortages list will remain the same in 2014.

Thanks..

My previous job designation was Software Engineer.

In my experience and employment letter it is also mentioned. In that case, Can I apply as in 2174 category?

Which documents I have to prepare before applying in 2014?

In April, 2013, 24 occupations opened and 5000 applicant can apply.

So, only 300 successful applicant of each occupation can apply, is it?

If not please clarify me. I am feeling uncertainty for applying in 2014. What is the probability to get the visa?

you can view the detailed description of 2174 in the link below, it should help you decide:

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2174&val65=*

to prepare you application you can view the check list in the link below, those are the documents which you need to prepare:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.pdf

No one can tell you the probability of getting the visa, but if you meet the general requirements and your application falls within the CAP then you surely have a good chance.

Hello rumel,

You will have to wait till early 2015 when the Canadian govt. plans to implement the EOI system so FSW will not open in 2014. At present, NOC 2174 and 2147 for FSWP 2013 under NOC category have already been filled. However, you can still apply under the "Arranged Employment" category if you have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.

I dont know what will be happened.
Is there any state which can give nomination for PR of my occupation?

Have CIC actually clarified anything yet regarding 2014? (Please forgive me if I have missed something :))

Personally I've not seen an article that expressly says it won't reopen next year, only that the EOI which would have been 2014 was postponed to 2015. This seems to have left a little ambiguity - and some people have formed an opinion one way, some another.

Unless you've seen something saying there will not be a FSWP for 2014, I think you would be wise to plan ahead - i.e. collecting documents etc, so that you don't miss an opportunity. Keep in mind that if it does open in 2014, nobody knows what NOC would be in the list - although I would expect some news about the programme (or lack of) in the new year.

Regarding PNP, provinces get quotas for a given year, so there will be openings if you fit the criteria. Saskatchewan recently announced quite a number of NOCs in a list for 2014 - although competition within the cap for that will be very tight.

Hi loncan
Thanks for your information..
If the cap is reached for a specific occupation, is there any possibility to reopen it for state nomination?
I found in Saskatchewan site, 2 Jan, 2014 it will open and only 250 quota will be available but dont know which occupations?
If I want to apply for Saskatchewan then should I need WES assessment?

Regards
Omar

If an occupation is in high demand then it could be recognised at both state and provincial level (though there isn't a direct link as such). Most PNP need arranged employment at the moment (Quebec being the notable exception), but they are worth keeping an eye on, as Sastatchewan's SINP proves.

A full explanation about applying under SINP is here:

http://www.saskimmigrationcanada.ca/application-guide-for-the-international-skilled-workers-category

As you can see - a rather extensive occupation list, so presumably competition will be tight.

I'm not sure about a WES assessment (maybe it is in that document), but probably you would need it later anyway (either at Federal level, or getting a job) and it doesn't seem to expire so you might consider applying for that now. You'll certainly need it if FSWP2014 happens.

hmm..Agreed..you guys really helpful..Thank you all.. :)
Can you please help me by giving any template or samples for Occupation 2174?
It is required so that I can manage the experience certificate or employment letter with properly described of occupation 2174.
Actually, I want to write my roles and responsibility according the occupation with existing designation.

One more thing, When I am applying in WES,
I have to send:

1. Certificate
2. Transcript

but I dont understand

3. For completed doctoral programs, a letter confirming the awarding of the degree To be sent directly to WES by the institutions attended.

what it means?
