Hi Everyone,
I am applying for my citizenship soon, but i have concerns about the question of :
Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country other than Canada?
- after getting my PR i went and worked for a year in the gulf (in KSA) then i quit and came back to canada
- but my iqama (temporary residency) in saudi arabia is still valid to date (should i disclose it ? )
- and for my period in canada i wasnt employed for the entire period, barely 10months out of the 3 years. Would that be an issue for the citizenship, from a perspective that i have a valid foreign temporary residency in the gulf?
- i also have had visitor visas during the eligibility period, to france twice. To egypt, georgia the country. All non valid anymore should i disclose these ?
Kindly if you have faced such scenario/situation advise what did you state under that question (especially if you have had a valid residency in the gulf) and what was the process like ? Smooth? Did the officer ask for follow up questions? Or interview ?
Please based on experience and not AI
Thanks
