Hi everyone,

In this form for question 4 it asks what gifts did you buy for your spouse (my wife) i got her gifts for her birthday, Christmas and other events (random flowers just to say i love u) and have pictures but no receipts as we never thought we would need them as we never looked into sponsoring me to live in canada at the time. So would just pictures and facebook posts be enough proof

For question 9, it asks for the development of your relationship. Do we attach to this form all the pictures of trips and events of our relationship or just compile a separate file containing emails of flights, hotel bookings, email prints of booking for theater, theme parks, outings ext..

thanks to anyone who can help :)

Imm 5490 question 4 is asking only about gifts given at the time of your first meeting. Look at the bold letters in the heading on the form

Question 9 is asking for a brief summary of the details of your relationships progress ( I.e., the story of you as a couple).

Make sure to read all the headings on the forms carefully and answer all the questions that are listed.

As far as emails photos and other items such as this you will also need to compile these documents to serve as proof of relationship.

Good luck :)

adding to mrscruz's gr8 answer, for Q9 you are going to have people (like myself) suggest you keep and submit every piece of evidence and information you can (ie: we submitted 700 pics, 500 pages of emails, 400 pages of yahoo chats, copies of airline tickets, movie tickets, dinner receipts etc etc etc as well as a short + long version of our story typed up). you are going to have people who say that is way too much and every suggestion in between. it is up to you to decide what is best for you. also, here is a link with some suggestions for how to organize your application (I hope it helps).....http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/proof-of-relationship-t130225.0.html;msg1986426#msg1986426

I agree with you. I would rather send to much information than not enough. In our case we only sent about 50 pictures. We also included boarding passes numerous pages of text messages, Skype conversations and rent receipts.

Overkill is the way to go, IMHO. We requested friends and family members write letters affirming our relationship as well.

below is a link i did mean to include for "proof of relationship" but i described it as "how to organize.......". anyway i think that link may actually be useful but here is the other link i meant to send for suggestions on "how to organize your application"......

beyond the original poster on the thread, there are some other great suggestions and discussions as well.
Good luck
