Hi everyone,

My wife is sponsoring me to come to Canada and we are a bit confused with question 3.
It asks 12 month period starting?
(is that from when the Canadian tax year starts or the date from when we are sending the forms) (not sure of the date as forms could be done in a week or a month) so should we put the date starting as shown on the option C print out.

The situation is in the last 12 months from april 2013 - to 12 months prior my wife worked from 14th Feb 2013 - March 2013 so what dates and forms do we provide to answer question 3

Q: your net personal income for the last 12 months period preeceding the date of your application

Ammount: $900
12month period starting?
and ending?

havn't filled taxes for 2012 year yet

Any help is so much appreciated

Also Option C printout says 2011 is that because the tax year for 2012-2013 has not ended yet

I'm not 100% sure of what you are asking. Can you please write out the question fully? When you just reference a form # and question #, we often don't know exactly what the question is asking (I personally don't have them all memorized) so it's helpful to write out the question just as it is written in the form.

What I think you're asking is when does the 12 month period of income start and end that they're asking for. Is this correct? If this is the case, it's best to put in from the month now (April 2013) back to the previous year (April 2012). This will make up the 12 months. They don't want to know what you will have accumulated a year from now (2014), because you don't know what's going ot happen in the future.

Put the earnings for the past (previous) 12 months. If the sponsor was unemployed, explain how they were able to take care of themselves (help from parents? low cost of living in country that the sponsor was living in before? Savings?)

Yup tink's right. So write down what you have earned from April 2012 to April 2013. It doesn't even need to be exact. Just give an estimate on how much you made between those dates.
For the option-c, if you don't have the 2012 yet, just enclose the latest one you have, which in that case is tax year 2011.
