Hi. I'm the Principal Applicant, and my partner (who is PR) is sponsoring me through inland common-law. When filling up the application, one question comes up twice in two different forms: IMM0008 and IMM1344. The question is: 'Provide the date on which you were married or entered into the common-law relationship'.

I saw multiple posts and discussions about this topic, and I understand that this refers to the date 1 year after we have been continuously living together. However, in the IMM0008 guide, it states '
  • If you’re in a common-law relationship, enter the date (year, month and day) you began living together.

I'm confused now. What date should I put it up there? Thank you.

I think the first date. If married, then the date of registration.
