I am a 58 years old woman with more than 25 years of teaching experience in India and more than 5 years of child caregiver & nurse experience in UK. I am interested in finding a job in Canada as a child care worker and / or Caregiver.
Can anyone advice what options I can explore ?

You need to look at the caregiver pilot in the link. Currently closed for applications until January. You need a job offer as a caregiver to apply.

Hi Everyone, Please help me on IMM5983. Is IMM5983 issued only by Canadian Government, and if I get it, is that means job offer is genuine for Caregiver work permit?
That is the form, yes. You don’t know the employer? Program is closed until 2022.
I have heard that program is closed for child care, but for home support worker it is still on. Is there any latest news on the home support worker program? As my wife is in that process, we got the offer letter, but not sure whether it is genuine or not, as there are number of people who are giving fake offers, some one told us that if you got the IMM5983 after job offer then you can assure that the job offer is valid and genuine for Work permit. Is it like that?

To apply to the child giver program, your employer must fill out IMM5983 and provide all the required documents.
Are applications still accepting for Home Support worker? As per our employer, he has filled the IMM5983, and waiting for the approval of concern authority, once he got it he will inform us, but due to COVID-19 process is very slow. My query is that suppose I get the IMM5983, then is that means Job offer is valid and genuine for applying a Work Permit?
You must have your employer fill out IMM5983. If he has filled it out it should be genuine. Yes, if you are a home support worker the program is open.
Hi. My wife is working as a Home Support Worker on a spouse open work permit. She wants to switch to this program. If she's already working, is the process still the same to apply for the caregiver work permit? How long does it take for the work permit to be approved?
