I was recognized as protected person, about to become a permanent resident in a couple of months.

My dad my step mom and my little brother are in a very tough situation in Saudi Arabia and they need to leave asap.

I live in Quebec, my dad has money so that's not the problem.

But I did the electronic calculator on Quebec's website and they need me to be making 60k a year which I don't as of now.
I'm married, my wife goes to school too. My mother in law makes close to 40k
Would they accept my undertaking or they must must have me making 60k a year?
What if I show them bank statements. My dad won't need my support nor the government's. He's gonna come here and start a project or work. He just needs to put his foot in the door

Also from start to landing, how long does it take to bring them to Quebec?
Thank you

I assume you are asking about the parent / grandparent sponsorship program.

To be accepted as a sponsor, you must be making enough income to cover your family (i.e. you and your wife) as well as the individuals you are sponsoring. For five people, this means you would need to have an income of close to $70K. You can combine your income with your wife's income to reach this minimum. You cannot use your mother in law's income. You also cannot use bank statements. You must meet the minimum through income that you and your wife are making in Canada. Yes - it is mandatory that you meet the income requirement. If you don't meet the income requirement, the application will be automatically refused.

It will take 1-2 years for the sponsorship application to be processed. Also note that only a limited number of applications are accepted each year. There is a lottery each January to determine who will be selected to sponsor their parents. So if you wish to sponsor - you would need to enter the lottery next January.

You would have to be a PR before you would qualify to sponsor your family through PGP. Any sibling would have to be under 22 and unmarried. You and your wife will need to make a certain amount of income based on your family size. I would read up on the PGP application. I would expect changes next year based on dissatisfaction from this year. You are looking at a few years minimum to qualify and there is no guarantee that you will get a spot.

Just to clarify, the PGP is no longer a lottery. It is now an online "first come first serve" basis until cap is reached. In other words, it will reach the cap within 5 minutes of accepting online applications.

Will also imagine there will a whole new process next year.

And then there be another set of people who will complain about the new system. There will always be complainers no matter what system they have in place, (usually those who didn't get picked). They are not interested in their fairness, only making sure they get their spot, damn the rest of them. PGP is not a program whereby all the immigrants have a right to bring their parents / grandparents. It is a compassionate program set up to help bring their parents / grandparents over. Nothing more. The lottery system was the best solution in fairness and equal chance for everyone.
