Have you tried to contact your country's embassy in Canada for assistance? They may have funds to buy a ticket for you to return. I have heard that people sometimes go to a local CIC office and tell them their status expired and they need help going back home. I heard they were repatriated but their home country has to repay the cost. I don't know if it's true.

If they don't have funds, and the nationals country won't give them a loan to buy a ticket, CIC will report and a deportation order will be issued, and then the person is flown home at Canadian Gov't expense.
