very easy to hide the gap man...

in univeristy admission, he may/may not disclose about the masters already done and get offer/acceptance....

and in visa office, he will hide about previous masters and for gap, he will just mention that he was unemployed... what's wroing being unemployed for 2 years?

Will not hv problem ... But u sud be smart enug not to get cought ....

Misdeclaration of some details about yourself can be a serious ground for no admission or even visa rejection/cancellation. This will have implications in the future as schools keep tract of academic records seriously. Just be honest. Create a very convincing letter of explanation why you want admission for another masters despite already having one.

Honesty is the best policy ...

Exactly my point. You may get away with misdeclaring things in the present but you'll live a life full of fears and worries that you might get caught at any moment. Good luck buddy!

yeah u r right , but uni gave me admission on the basis of my bachelors program although i showed them my MS. so now do u think VO can get this information? it is not written on my admission letter that i have another MS degree. some ppl told that VO only inquires about the details given in ur application.

wot u guys think???

U r right tele ... That's what i was trying ro day ... VO doesnt hv any way to know ... But for the rest of ur life, after immigration, u hv to forget ur hiddn masters ...

I don't think you were admitted by your university on the basis of bachelors degree alone. I think your masters has also affected their decision since you provided this when you applied. They will probably call your Canadian univeristy to check the authenticity of your LOA. This can be a situation where they can actually discover misdeclarations. Some even do background checks. If I were you, I will include the documents of my previous masters and explain in your Statement of Purpose why you are aiming for another masters degree. Come clean...

Hmm thanks alot dear for your response, but the prob is my MS degree is in the same field for which i got admission there, infact the name ECE(communication). Can you please suggest how to justify another degree with the same field??? I 1st thought to say that i want to go for good research in the field of photonics which i didnt get any chance to study here . the uni i am approaching to has some research groups in this area. so .... wot's advice ..?//

Your situation now is becoming a bit tricky. So you're applying for the same masters degree for the second time??? Does the university you got admission require a masters degree for students coming from your country? If this is the case then, you will little problem with the letter of explanation. But if you only need a bachelors degree, you will have a lot of explaining to do. You can concentrate maybe on the research topics you intend to pursue in connection with the strengths of the program of the university you got admitted. If you already have a professor in Canada that has express interest in supervising your research, then this can be a factor. Hope I was of help.

for Visa isssue, its 99.99% sure that it will be rejected if someone wants to do the same masters same topic ... no matter how strong SOP you prepare... coz Canada is not desparate of taking int'l student to run their economy like UK/Aus do (run means the money brought by int' students)...

decision is your bro... as i said earlier, honesty is the best policy... not the ONLY policy specially in case where you are not harming anyone else...

Is your admission from a publicly-funded university or a prestigious university? If it is, I think you should give it a try. These universities do not give admission offers easily. Your profile must have something special for them to allow you to study under their roof. If you get visa rejection, you can tell yourself.. "At least I did what I can do best". If you get visa approval, you are one lucky guy. Best of luck to you! OPTIMISM!!!

Thanks all , from above discussion wot i concluded : Please correct me if i am wrong !
1. I should make the strong reason of research groups adn should connect it with my 05 years professional experience in the same field + 01 international industry certification on same.
2. I can get a letter from my current employer that i will come back and join my post after getting higher education. ( Will it work??)
3. I got admit for Concordia, it is a public uni as far as i know.
4. I would definetly give it a try ... wotelse one can do and rest everything is on GOD :)
