I was a full time employee and reference letter mentions me as a full time employee, I was not sure how many weeks I worked less than 30 hours. I checked my paychecks and posted above what I have found.
As i said earlier, if your reference letter states full time with hours, then nothing to explain. This is what CIC wants & expects.RegularGuy said:I was a full time employee and reference letter mentions me as a full time employee, I was not sure how many weeks I worked less than 30 hours. Why should that be?JoacRy said:If you can give yourself 2 extra weeks so the full-time weeks are well and truly established.
JoacRy said:The reason I said to wait 2 weeks is the following:
1) You said you have 50 full-time weeks (46+4)
2) you said you have 2 part-time weeks
3) 2 part-time weeks do not make 1 full-time week.
4) its wrong for your employer to write you were Working full-time for the duration of 1 year.
5) if you work 2 more full-time weeks you have a legitimate claim to working at least 52 full-time weeks.
6) Remember during this process CIC can communicate with any government agencies during the process of assessing the viability of your employment application. If the CRA or the Department of Labor were to do a payroll audit if your employer and you were found to work less than 52 full-time weeks while declaring the opposite both you and your employer would be in trouble.
7) How long do you have left before your ITA expires?

CanadaWeCome said:He said 4 part time weeks so that makes to 2 full time weeks to complete 52 weeks for an year.
Anyone?Aragorn165 said:Does this mean that if I have, for example, 25 hours of employment per week, that counts as 25 hours, and not 15? I was under the impression that part time work always counts as 15 hours, and full time always 30 hours- anything beyond these baselines is not counted.

This is excellent! It means I am not losing out on 10 hours of work per week!scylla said:Anything above 30 hours counts as 30 hours.
Part time hours count as whatever they are. 15 hour is 15 hours. 24 hours is 24 hours. 8 hour is 8 hours. To calculate your full time hours from your part time hours, you add all of your part time hours together and divide by 30.
