Hi guys, as I am new to the blog I will probably ask a question already made by someone else (sorry for that).
I am in the IEC program and because I am Italian, I have only 6 months work permit (not renewable).
Is there the possibility to have another type of work permit and stay longer? (for example, if you get a declaration form from your employer)??
I am not working at the moment but I have a proposal from an employer (looking for someone to work for him temporary) but he is scared not to be able to let me stay....
I am confused because I had advices from everywhere and they are all different.......
If anyone can help me....I will appreciate :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

You don't qualify for an open work permit.

However you could qualify to apply for a closed work permit if you can find an employer who is willing to offer you a job and can also obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion (LMO). The LMO process is quite involved. You can read more about it here:
