I Also got good bands from IdP but my friends who gave test for bc got less marks even if they did well in exams

We had our IELTS with IDP, no idea about British Council but it really depends on you since you are the one taking the tests. Yes IDP is accepted in Canada.

According to my personal experience 90% of the performance depends only upon the person, there is not much difference between institutes. Still, most prevalent ones are Grey matters ( from where i got coaching), Touchstone, British council all based in Sector-17.

IDP gives better score as far as my experience compare to BC. I took BC for GEN and they gave me lower score in writing and speaking compare to IDP which I took ACA. Thanks to IDP I got letter offer.

BC is more reputed , IDP may just give you less in one of the bands , so that you give again.

You will find the BC dates not always easy to get , where as you will get IDP any time.

IELTS is a standardized test,no matter where u write it from!!
BC and IDP both are equal,their evaluation is based on your performance in SPEAKING AND WRITING. this is because in these two section of ielts only you can keep ur point before examiner and i have heard british council is tougher than idp or idp scores leniently....this is so not true.
Just prepare your self and reserve any date,,,,be it from idp or bc,,which so ever earliest.

It depends on section... As for me, I took a test for three times. 2 times for BC, one time for IDP

I got a better score for writing section by BC. BC gave me writing 6.5 while IDP showed writing 5.5

Reading and listening have no big difference....
