Its not needed and NO, your app will not be returned for an issue with photos.

It's not needed - you likely looked at the Canadian passport requirements and panicked .

The Photo requirements for Canadian Citizenship Applications are a different page and do not feature any guarantor being needed. Just the name of the photographer/studio that took the pictures, their contact details, the date it was taken and the requirement for you to put your name on the back of the photo.

I agree. Most photographers think the requirements are same as passport.. It's imperative to take the photo requirement to the photographer.

If you have everything else required on pictures and everything else on your application is good, it wont be retunred
