I see in my tracker "waiting on you" for an interview on August 24th, and that instructions will be sent to me, but no email has been received. Are instructions sent closer to the day of the interview? I know many people do not even get interviews but I have to give an interview for some reason.

I got my instructions before it was updated on the tracker, my interview is scheduled for the 25th of July

Many, many citizenship applicants are called for an interview. Before Covid ALL adult applicants were called for an interview, and while IRCC has not required all applicants participate in an interview since Covid, that is still what is prescribed by the Program Delivery Instructions (PDIs).

It is likely you are scheduled for just the PI interview. The other types of interview discussed there involve non-routine processing regarding problem cases.

Meanwhile, there is a massive amount of commentary here about the Program Integrity interview of citizenship applicants. If you do a search for "interview" limited to "this forum" (see drop down in search box) and check "Search titles only," that should generate a very long list of threads here in which the primary subject is the citizenship interview. There is a lot of additional discussion about the interview in other threads as well, but this list will give you far more than you probably will want to read.

I had my interview today in Mississauga. The officer was very nice and polite and she just asked me what I do, where I live, a bit about my year long absences in two years and made a comment about how I support myself (since my 2022 tax income is way too low, this is partly because I was away for almost all of 2022 and was taking care of my dad who died in 2022, I mentioned his passing away and how two of my major absences were for this reason. To take care of my dad in his extremely fragile and deteriorating health). Then at the end of it she just said okay if we need something we will call, for now this is all.

Have anyone had their LPP marked as complete after their interview? It will a month tomorrow since my interview and no update yet
