I just had a citizenship interview. I was grilled thoroughly. In my case, I applied for citizenship in Nov 2025 and have been outside Canada since Feb 2026. Even husband who is Canadian Citizen has been outside of Canada since he lost his job and had to look outside to other country. I was told they will get back to me in next 2-3 days if they need more documentation.
Realistically anyone who had similar experience? What was the outcome? In most cases interviews are straightforward but I dont know why I was grilled so much. In my case everything is straightforward except I am outside Canada after applying.
