Hi,

Can we start a thread in which people who got their Visa can share their journey from selecting the Institute till they got their Visa.

It will benefit the other guys in a sense that the thread will be helpful in selecting the colleges according to their profile.

Moreover it will give the future students a rough time frame needed to collect the requisite documentation according to University or College and processing time after filing Visa.

I have done BTech mechanical with 72% marks and applied for robotics course at conestoga college not only that I also applied through Sunrise consultancy by Divya madam on 8 October only difference is I am still waiting for my Visa

I am applying on behalf of my sister. She got her visa refused once under university category. We sent paper application before.

I am thinking to apply online this time but don't want to take risk either and I wonder if you could help me filing study permit app. online.

My questions are:

Do we send/fill out that student questionnaire form when file an application online? If yes, where can one upload it?

Which visa processes online application in India? Delhi or Chandigarh or is it according to the region you are living in?

Which visa office did you get passport request from?

How do we know which category we are under if we are applying online - I mean SPP, University or General?

Does Embassy ask for original documents later on?

Do we need to notarized copies and then scan and upload those?

I don't know all the answers as everything is done by my consultant but I tell u what I know.

I think the visa is processed at delhi office but it is stamped at chandigarh.
Embassy don't ask for original documents.
And yeah we need to get the documents attrsted by notory before scaning and uploading.

p.s- embassy will ask you if they need anything by email.

If you are applying at Chandigarh,i found Paper application better than ONLINE because

1. Fixed time frame of 2 weeks/10 working days for a decision for Paper application.

At Chandigarh people who are filing paper based in past months have generally got a decision in roughly 2 weeks. (Source : Whatsapp groups/ friends who have applied). ONLINE decision either comes on the 3rd day from applying and if you are not so lucky to get on 3rd day, u dont know in how many more days u will get anything concrete from the Application center. Online application remains a gamble.

2. In paper based Visa one can put a letter of explanation. (I hope u must have included the same when u applied in past. This is very important for people who got rejected once.) How to include LOE in an ONLINE application is not known to most of us (even consultants).

After considering above points, i filed Paper application on 10th Nov. Hope this helps
