Hi

My husband and I are supposed to land in Canada within a month from now, however based on family problems I (as the main applicant) dont want my husband to be able to get his PR because I am not hopeful to continue my marital life with him. Now I want to know How I can ever have this right to cancel his Visa or PR after we landed. we are not yet divorced, but I dont feel secure if he lands and freely lives in Canada basd on my application.
Is there any way that I can exile him to his own country?

Thanks

Hi Brita,

Congratulations for PR.For your husband, i would advice that you do not try to cancel his Visa for whatever the case may be

because we don't know what tomorrow holds,if God has made it possible for both of you to get the PR, then let His will be done.

For whatever your husband has done to you, Pls forgive him and do not be an instrument to someone's down fall.It could boomerang.

I am sorry if i have offended you. It's just an advice.

God bless you

BDPA

No - you can't cancel his PR after he lands.

As everyone else has advised do not cancel his visa, my reason is nothing to do with you getting 5 points or God but if you try to cancel his visa then, you will have to inform VO and they may cancel the entire application including your Visa and you will have to go through the process again and who knows what the future hold for your next application. My suggestion, let him keep the Visa.

As far as you not feeling safe, Canadian Laws for Domestic Violence are far more strict then 3rd world countries like India and Pakistan, so there is no chance he will be able to harm you there. If at all he threatens you or you feel in danger then you can always approach the police and courts to get restraining order where he will not be allowed to come near your house as well.

Compromise is the best option , finding the middle ground

Whereas i Know that he could not land first without you........because you are the principal applicant.......whereas i know.........

Dear Brita,
For the sake of the Love you guys once shared forgive and dont be myopic as to jeopardise the dream you ate about to live.

Ig

Brita,Congratulations.I am sorry to say why u want to divorce please by negotiating u can solve the problem other think as per i know ur husband also contributed for getting Canada PR pass mark. Please continue ur relationship.you should know after getting visa if you marry again u cannot bring ur new husband in Canada (it is very very difficult).

Dependent can land along or after the principal applicant but not before the principal applicant. Every candidate in the application is responsible for his/her own PR after landing.

Your options are -
Do not land - which results in loosing PR for both
You land and your husband does not - You get the PR, he losses it
Both of you land and have your own PR cards, and each one of you is responsible for your own residency.

Hi Brita, where are you? you have put forth a problem and left the board. You should be there and answer the members.
here is my own advice, i know it hurts, but please for the sake of love let him to land or both of you will loose the PR. things are so different this days. You people may be accused of fake marriage and will not be able to sponsor new spouse in the future. so it is good to land and later sort out the problem. all problems have solutions depending on both of you.

hope it helps.

Canadaforall.

Excellent advice from everyone!

Dear brita

I know the love no longer exist btw the two its a difficult one nobody nos what your going tru I gues ur fade up marriage is not a do or die affair people should enjoy marriAge not endure marriage

If u cancel his pr u may start allover again
If you land with him n divorce him you will wait for another 5yrs before u will get to file for your next patner if he is not a canadian already

If your pr matters to you allow him to land with you when u get to canada u can go ur seperate ways u must not live with him in d same house

But if the pr does not matter to u cancel it n start allover again

Brita for sure you have many options and now the ball is in your hands, you have to choose.
