Hi all,

My brother has a study permit that expires April 30. He finished high school and applied for university program starting in September. How can he stay in canada while waiting for final decision on admission?
Will he be able to get study permit extended without (conditional) acceptance letter? If so how to apply? Or should he apply for visitor visa and later re apply for study permit when approved?

Finished his last exams Jan 30th.

He'll need to go online and switch to a visitor status or if he has received admission to university apply for a student visa extension and go online to indicate your change of school. If you are inactive as a student for 90 days your student permit should get cancelled.

What do you mean by "go online and switch to visitor status"? Is it the same as applying for visitor visa?
