When it asks for number of family members, did you include the sponsor? Ie 2 if spousal with no children.

We did, yes. It's very odd, I have short and simple first and last names, no hyphens or dashes, no middle name, didn't change my name in marriage..we messaged them through "report a technical problem" form, but got no response so far.
Also tried methods 1 and 2 from this post https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spou...ew_Application_Forms#How_do_I_access_MyCIC.3F
It's a mystery to me why they had to make this bit so complicated.

Where is the link to "Add your application to your account" described in step 3?

I created a GCKey but when I log in there are only options to change the password, recovery questions and revoke the GCKey. Plus a continue button which returns me back to the normal IRCC webpages.

Hello

Once an application is linked, do I still get updates through email or no all goes to this account?

thanks in advance

I think you might need to clean the cache and or try a different browser. Returning you to the starting page is a common issue that appears regularly. You should be able to fully log in: go past a security question, and accept terms and conditions. Then you'll see the page where they invite you to link the application.

I've only linked mine recently, but you do get emails that tell you to go check your messages. Not other updates.

How do I attach social media conversations like WhatsApp from my phone, do I have to screen grab, print and attach it back, I need help on how to go about this?

Were you able to figure it out? I'm having a similar problem.

I was! Took over a month, but we've managed.
1) After we tried all imaginable combinations, I sent a webform asking what could be wrong.
2) They responded asking me for screenshots and the data I already tried inputting (so you could save time by providing them this information along with the first webform)
3) I sent the data, they responded by saying that my place of birth was incorrect (??!). FYI - I triple-checked that the place of birth is spelled exactly the same way it is spelled in the application form. But this did help - once I knew where the presumed error was, it dawned on me to try filling "city of birth" with "country of birth", and it worked. As in, UK, UK or Kenya, Kenya instead of London, UK or Mombasa, Kenya.
So I guess whoever was manually transferring the data from my application into the system made a mistake. I still have to figure out how to deal with that fact (guess will have to send them another webform).
Hope this helps in any way, and good luck.

Thanks, I've taken your advice and submitted a webform with screenshots. I'm sure the issue lies in them having made a mistake when copying over my data.

It's no wonder they have been very slow to switch from paper to online applications, the online infrastructure is a complete joke and needs a total revamp.

Hi everbody:

Is it possible to link a private sponsorshipe of refugee program(PSR) application to this online account?

Hi All,

I am trying to link my PR application to myCIC account after receiving such instructions from NDVO.

To IRCC, I have submitted request to add spouse along with the documents and updated forms IMM 0008 and IMM 5406. In response, they asked us to send the same documents to NDVO as our file is currently with Canadian Visa office in New Delhi. We sent the update request + the documents to NDVO via web form and received following response:

"Thank you for your e-mail. Please be advised that your e-mail has been received by the Migration Section, High Commission of Canada, at New Delhi.

Kindly submit update regarding your application through your linked IRCC secure account.

If you have been requested to provide additional documents by IRCC or you wish to submit additional documents to support your application, you must submit these through your IRCC secure account. If you have not already done so, please link your application to be able to upload your additional documents. Please note that for Applications that cannot be linked, we will accept via e-mail. Please note that the mission will not be uploading any documents."

Hi, I have a GC Key login and I did link my application to it, it was working fine for some days, and all of a sudden I am not able to check the linked application. when I sign in using GC key, it takes me to a different generic page to check the application status. can anyone suggest how can i fix this?

This is a neverending glitch with them. I would just keep going back and retrying and eventually I would get in to the page that you have to click "i agree". Just go back, refresh, log in again....you may have to do it a bunch of times.

If you can't link the application, will you still get emails or snail mail instructions for the other steps like medical etc? i'm fed up of all the errors trying to link my app between neverneding sing in loop and now the 403 yoru not singed in errors i just give up with the online site.
