Hi there i am trying to help my half brother in coming to canada as international student and hoping for him to gain permanent residence and eventually helping out the rest of his family.

Question 1: We don't have alot of money to show financial proof (tuition+accommodation+return funds). Is there some tricks to this step?

Question 2: how long after could my brother be able to apply for PR while studying?

Thank you all!

for your financial assistance, i would suggest you to take a loan on his behalf, as he complete his studies and starts working part time, secure some money to payoff the loan.

for pr....it depends on province to province and there are presently lot of options to get pr like pnp or federal, skilled, ,,, so once your brother graduate n get nominated for pr it may take 2 to 2.5 years.

Your brother will most likely not be able to apply for PR while studying. He will most likely have to complete his studies and work in Canada for some period of time before he will qualify to apply. Studying in Canada does not guarantee PR.

Right now nothing is guaranteed unfortunately.

right now with express entry everything is uncertain and just doing a course does not guarantee PR. if u have a good job in ur home country just keep doing that job and then after a few years apply for PR directly forget about getting canadian education. Canadian education does not give u much advantage in getting PR since the new express entry PR system.

A one year course is extremely risky since you only end up with a 1 year PGWP. You're far better off studying for 2 years so that you qualify for a 3 year PGWP. But even then (as others have said), nothing is guaranteed.

It all depends upon your case. I have done 1 year course and have applied my PGWP. My open work permit is still in process and i have my ECa and IELTS done which makes me eligible for express entry. I am in BC so 1 year is fairly enough for EE BC PNP, But it depends what amount of experience you have in your home country.

Analyse the whole process and then take your step wisely

Then you have to study 2years in order to get 3 years work permit. Then work for 1 year which will make you eligible for CEC.

As far as BC in concerned, For skilled immigration processing time is 16 months and 4 months in express entry(but you can't apply under EE as you do not have work exp in home country).

S dt means i need to take another prog of one yr .. so dt i can get work permit of of year..

Can anyone guide me regarding how to apply for further studies... aftr cmpletion of my presnt studies.??

you have to choose another course and decide which college is offering course according to your requirement. Contact college, have your seat in 2nd college and then international department of a particular college will help you out.
