How long will background check take? I’m from Pakistan.

Hi all,

I’m currently on pgwp and applied for inland spousal sponsorship in June 2025. Eligibility and biometrics were completed in Aug 2025. I gave birth in Jan 2026 and updated ircc via webform, they added the documents to my file.

I plan to apply for sowp in a few months if there’s no movement in bgc as my visa expires in Feb 2027. I know I’m within the processing time, it’s just a little tense for me as I need to be with my baby. Any PAs from Pakistan who can share how long the process took for them? Thanks

Extremely variable although applicants from Pakistan tend to have longer than average processing times.
