Hello,

I have applied for PR under PNP category on Feb 1, 2013. I have finished my medical examination on Feb 13, 2013. I got married after sending my file, so that I send all forms and documents for spouse to Nova Scotia, Sydeny. They received file on March 19, 2013. My online status says that medical results have been received since April 8, 2013. I have not get any change in my status since its a long time. So can anyone please tell me that how long is the processing time to add spouse name and after they change my status?

Hi,

We are also on the boat. I have my spouse to my PR file on 24th July.

Last week she completed her medicals.

Have you heard back anything from CIC after you submitted the medicals for your spouse?

Thanks.

Hi Amla,

Have you tried contacting CIC regarding the status of your application? They seem pretty responsive these lately.

Where is your spouse located? Have you applied for a work permit or a visitor visa in addition to adding your spouse to your PR file?

Hello Folks,
I am in the same boat as you guys here. I got my medical done Last week and I am going to my home country in 20 days to get married. My Spouse is in Pakistan and I have no plan to bring her over here before we get her PR status, like I meant I will not going to apply for her Work permit or visitor visa. I have few questions maybe you guys can answer it.

So after when we get our PR visa how will she do her landing? I will do her landing as normally go to US border and come back. How will she do it? please share your thoughts

Hi attitudefever, when did you added your spouse on your application and when did CIC receive your update forms/docs for yourself and for your spouse? Also, please share if you got yours and your wife medical together or you are also waiting for her medical?

Thanks!

how to submit spouse's passport if he/she is in not Canada.

Here is my experience:

When you get your PPR, do send all the required + passport to ottawa with the explanation letter why your spouse's passport can not submitted to ottawa.

Also, reply back to PPR email (just press reply) and state the same explanation letter and mention you are sending your passport with the canada post tracking #

Ottawa will send you another ppr email (no time mentioned but assume 15-30 days) which you can send to your spouse and he/she can submit her passport to home country Canadian High Commission.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LAND IN CANADA UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THE VISAS HAVE BEEN ISSUED TO YOUR FAMILY. YOU ALSO MUST LAND BEFORE OR AT THE SAME TIME AS YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS; THEY CANNOT LAND IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN LANDED.
