How long it will take actually if you do ECA with ICAS, after documents received? Can anybody share some exp with me ?

I am also looking for an estimated timeline for my evaluation with ICAS. The website says 6-8 weeks, not sure how long they actually take. My docs arrived at ICAS office yesterday.

If you have not started with ICAS , its recommended that u do ECA with WES since its delivers the fastest ECA reports.

I have no choice but ICAS because WES does not evaluate credentials from my university. I had applied on 30-April-2013 for rush service. Morons had my uni on their degree equivalency tool. And i feel I saw it on the list they have on their website as well. After a lot of hassle, calls, exchange of emails and being apologetic, WES refunded my money and agreed to send my docs to any of the other evaluation organization.

So ICAS was courteous enough to accept my degrees sent directly by WES. Lets see when they complete my evaluation. I am thinking they will atleast take 1-1.5 month. I dont have much hopes though for this year to be included in FSWP applicants.

Don't worry and don't lose hope...No one can tell when the cap will be filled...so please go ahead with confidence.

Please post back on how long it eventually takes. I wonder if they have many applicants considering many people seem to have gone with WES. If they don't have many applications maybe they will have capacity to complete it sooner than their estimated guideline.

No, they will not complete it in a weeks time if thats what you mean. Since FSWP is a new experience for them as well, so they are doing a thorough evaluation. Besides, not all private universities are evaluated by WES. So other options are ICAS and CES.

I just wish this evaluation had never been there!

What are you talking about one week? Their website clearly states 6-8 weeks.

Suppose you are NOC 1112, 2147 or 2174, you are no longer eligible?

What was probably meant was that since there are so many applicants in those 3 NOCs, there is a good chance that they will be filled very soon if not already filled. I believe that a few applications might be returned due to errors/omissions on the forms and/or incomplete documents, hence they will accept more than 300 for each of these NOCs. Once 300 complete and eligible (based on points) applications are logged in, they would stop taking any more applications is my guess. Even though the processing fee won't be charged for those not making the cap, there would be a considerable loss of time, effort and money used to prepare the applications :(

Good luck to everyone!

You are and will be eligible. Its just that these occupations are so much in demand that will be filled faster than any other.

Can someone please tell how much time will ICAS take to send an assessment report.
I applied on 15th April. They have received my main application, but the other docs bu College, Uni, etc. have not yet been received.. I guess they sent it via Local Post to Canada post. So how much more time it will take?
