Hello everyone! :) I am currently going through the immigration process through RNIP.

On November 16, I requested an offer of employment number from my employer to start applying for a work visa.
The employer told me that they had not received an LMIA for a long time and forgot the password from the Employer Portal. Also, the employer said that in the near future they will restore access to this site and send me an offer of employment number.

I can't understand why the employer is having such difficulties restoring access to the portal. It's been almost 30 days since I requested this number from them. But I was told that they still have some difficulties getting this number.

This is a fairly large company that has been around for almost 30 years. They actively cooperate with the local community. They sent me a job offer and after that, I received a letter of support from the community, thanks to which I completed the application for permanent residence.

Maybe someone from the participants of this forum also faced the same difficulties? How long can it take to get this number?

Thanks!

Exactly 1 month has passed. We still haven't received our number. Our immigration consultants say that only an IRCC employee can reset the Employer Portal password. So we'll be waiting a long time.

I got mine in 24 hours, your employer sounds like they don't know how to use a computer

Thanks a lot for the answer! My employer informed me that they forgot the password from this site. And only an IRCC employee can restore this password. And they have already made a request, but they just don't respond for a very long time. It sounds strange...

I would have thought the "forgot password" function would be a quick remedy.... if they have to call an IRCC agent to sort this out, good luck. You'll need it

I found information on restoring access here:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rs/employer-portal/enrolment-guide.html#reset

Reset your account
You’ll need to reset your account and register for a new GCKey or Sign-in Partner if you can’t sign in to your account because you:
  • forgot the answer to your recovery questions
  • lost your GCKey username
  • tried to re-enrol when you already have an account
Primary users
You need to contact us for a PIN. Email us with the first and last names you used when you first enrolled in the portal.
You will receive your PIN and instructions by email within 5 business days. This PIN will link the new GCKey or Sign-in Partner to your existing Employer Portal account.

Apparently, it takes no more than 5 working days! And I've been waiting for 1 month...

So did the company, not the consultant, actually emai IRCC to get a PIN. Did they follow the instructions? Do you have proof they did it?

No, unfortunately, I have no proof other than their words :( They supported me all this time, and gave me a Job Offer, thanks to which I received a nomination from the community of the city. And now such problems... I can't believe it.

So this is through RNIP? Something is very weird because a company that has filed for LMIA before (and you say is experienced in the process) suddenly cannot remember the password. The process to get a PIN is simple and should have gotten the reset weeks ago.

Yes, this is all done via RNIP. I did not expect at all that we could face such a problem. So much effort, money, and time were spent on this...

A small update on the situation: my employer found out a month later that the person who is the first user on the employer's portal no longer works for them. And only this person has the right to issue an offer of employment number. Now they are trying to change the first user to another person to release the number.

On March 9, we received our number. We have set a record for waiting for this number. We have been waiting for more than 100 days. Although on average, the employer issues such a number in 2 days. Now we need to find the Expected duration of employment to apply for a work visa. Our employer cannot find this information.
