How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Just received our passports

They sent it by regular mail, did not use the UPS return envelope I had included. Planning to land in 2 week's time. Thank you all for all your support and guidance. I will keep you posted regarding my landing experience. We are planning to land by car, at the vermont/quebec border.

I just completed landing at Calgary airport. It was a smooth experience and took about an hour or so including wait time.

Hi Tank-Boy - Had a query. We are in the US and after getting the passports we are also planning to cross US border thru Niagara Rainbow bridge and hence thought of asking you something. Looks like you are also in the US and hence did the landing thru Rainbow bridge. While crossing US, is there are place to drop your I-94 and also after landing on the Canadian side when you come back to the US, you once again have to cross US immigration do you have to tell US immigration that you went to Canadian side for landing formalities.....and then show your US visa/petition etc etc as part of the US immigration process ?....I am sorry I may be askign too many questions....but would help if you make me understand this process.

Dear Friends,

Well just an update....Our PRz were sent on March 28 2013(Reached Ottawa) and got back today with visas stamped which is valid for 2 months...Planning to make landing on Memorial day weekend over Rainbow Bridge....

LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE IS PLANNING TO DO THE LANDING AT THE SAME TIME OF MINE.... WILL BE LOVE TO MEET!!!

Guys.... Have patience....Time will come!!!

Hello Anu - Looks like you were in the US and crossed the border thru Rainbow bridge....Did you come back to the US as well after landing ? Do we need to tell the US immigration about this Canadian landing formalities etc etc...even thought we are carrying proper US Visa and work permit (petition) with us ?

Do you live in the US? If yes, then your passport must be on its way now. I got mine after 4 weeks. (3 weeks processing+ 1 week mailing time) through regular mail.

Hi guys,

Seems CIC is very inconsistent in PR visa issuance. My passports were received at ottawa on 1st May but not heard anything yet. Hopefully should see light by next week . Meanwhile congrats to all those who got there passports back. I know its a killing wait..

I sent mine on May 15, 2013 via FEDEX overnight international and waiting since. Normally time looks like 4-6 weeks, while for those in month of Feb/Mar there was a backlog resulting in 8-12 weeks.

They received my passport on march 4th and send back to me on 28 th may almost three months
