Hello guys, i just want to know, our passport was sent to cpp last April 15, and we have 'nt heard anything after that, my concern is our work permit will expire on July 1, 2013, do you think I need to apply a work permit again just to make sure that we can stay here legally or should I wait until our passport is back, then do an exit before July 2013?.... please help up God

I hope you get the passport before that. Just wait till May end and see if you get it or not. otherwise to be on safe side. apply from work permit extension because these days you really dont knw what comes to the mind of immigration and they just deny saying oh your status expired; u should have extended it; PR process is diff. etc etc...

Plus in order to work leagally... you need to get extension if PR is gettng delayed

just wait till june if your PP does'nt return that time, it's safe to renew your work permit.

Yeah wait till the last day of your work permit for your passport. If it doesnt come then you should apply for extension on the basis of your pr file in process. Just to be on a safer side. Bcz last time my wotk permit was expired and i was screwed up too

Count me in... I sent my passport last Feb 15, 2013 and according to CanadaPost my pp was successfully delivered in CPP-Ottawa office on Feb 19, 2013. Until now I'm still waiting for my pp.

I sent an email to CPP-Ottawa 8 times, well I stoped sending them email when I received a actual reply not Auto-reply (I hope it came from one of the officer). It says:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your file has been added to a priority list. A follow up will be completed on your application at the earliest convenience.

We thank you for your patience.

Regards

--But it was not mentioned that they received my passport unlike the others here who got response from CPP-Ottawa... --sigh-- ???
