How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

I sent my passports to CPP-O PO Box by Canada Post Xpresspost and also requested for the confirmation of delivery with signature. When tracking the message is "Your item is now available for pick-up".

When phoned Canada Post they said that they have left a Delivery Notice Card in the PO Box and someone from CPP-O should come to their holding location and collect the item.

I am really worried. Has anyone undergone this?

I am afraid that your item may be returned to you back.
I guess when you are sending any package or letters to P.O box you should not ask for "Confirmation of Delivery with signature"
because it is P.O box, no body will be there to pick your package and sign.
and now I doubt someone from CIC will go to post office and pick your package.

I also sent my package to P.O box but did not opted for delivery notice.
from Canada Post web site it shows that some one called Dave Turpin signed.
but CIC has not confirmed to me so far that they have my package...

this process is all a big mess....

I sent my passport with signature required option and it was delivered yesterday with signature by someone named Dave Turpin. When I sent my PR documents to Nova Scotia (PO Box), at that time also I opted for signature required option and they were also received and signed by someone.

@wpan: I have the same update as yours.But like someone in this thread said, someone from Cic will pick up from the canada post location.
I also did the same thing with my pr application i.e tick the signature option.
Pls let me know if u get any update. I hope they will pick up on Monday.

If Canada post delivered there must be some one signed to accept the package.

I hope you have a tracking number and did you check the name and signature on-line ?

and in passport which address you have ? your current one? if the passport is in good persons hand I guess he/she would contact you or may return back to post office...

No one signed the package. Just showed " delivered successfully " , this is also the answer I got when I called canada post.
I have an image of the envelope, so pretty sure my address and phone # on it are correct ( also this is my current address in canada ). Tracking # becomes useless now. Canada post cannot locate my package. Yes, I will have to check the post offices nearby me.

If Canada post delivered there must be some one signed to accept the package.

I think you should speak to the mailman who usually comes to deliver at your place. I am sure he will know where your passport was delivered.

Hey guys
m really happy for all of those who got their passports back and hoping soon the same for the once in que. I have a question. I sent my rprf, personal history and my wifes police certificate on march 26th and ive heard nothing back yet. My question is how long does it take for the ppr after these documents.
I know this is not the right question for this forum but as i dint get a reply somewhere else and m sure most have you gone through this situation, so plz take out a minute and help me on this as m just as worried as u were at one point. Please share your xperiences.I appreciate that thanx

my Medicals & police clearence done- 20th may 2012
Wife added to my P.R file- 30th july 2012

What can I say about Canada Post! Their service is unreliable! Your biggest concern now is your package doesn't get sent back to CPP-O. Call the main postal facility closest to your area (The one that received your passport from Ottawa) and tell them about it.

FYI

Ytd morning, I sent another email to CPP-O. At 11pm ytd, I received their reply:

Dear Sir/Madam,

We have received your passport and your application is currently in queue to be finalized. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application.

If you have included a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned using this envelope. If you have followed the instructions on the website and kept note of the tracking number, you should be able to follow its delivery on the Canada Post website.

If you did not provide a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will been returned to you by regular mail.

I agree with Ronaldo..
talk to the mail guy and also speak to the head post office and file a complaint.

and I guess it is better to file a police complaint. may be people who got this might have returned to the police station.

as you are saying that Passport got your home address...and phone number. you can expect a call any time....

Hey Bkkkk! How is it going? Did you talk to your mailman? You can also ask your neighbors. It happened with me a couple times when I was finding my neighbors' envelopes in my mailbox. And keep bugging your post office, it is their responsibility and their fault.
