How long do I have once I receive notice from CIC to mail passport?

I'm going away in mid April for 3 weeks.What should I do if I receive notice from CIC when I'm away. I need my passport for traveling and im worried if it will result exceed the period of mailing passport to them?

You get 30 Days from CIC but incase if you are not able send you Passport to them, you can just explain your situation and you will get extension for sometime.
