How long do background check and "Review of eligibility" take to complete ?!

Hi guys .. I submitted my PR application in early October last year, and since day 1 my PR application's status has been this:

Application/profile status: Open
Review of eligibility: Review in Progress
Review of medical results: Passed
Review of submitted documents: No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: In Progress
Final decision: Not Started

It's been four and a half months now, shouldn't the above two bolded processes have been finished by now ? During all this time CIC hasn't contacted me for any purpose.

Same for me I am AOR 11 OCT. By what I have seen in this forum the status doesn't changes even after receiving PPR. So it is just normal and there is no particular time frame.

Second that. I'm FSW Inland AOR OCT 1st. Considering there are a few FSW Inlanders with AORs at the end of Sept just got their PPRs in the past few days, I'm really hoping us OCT FSW Inlanders will get PPRs soon!

Medical, BG Check and Final Decision will stay same and you will get PPR and than everything will get pass and application will be closed and approved as far as I know

It has been the same for me from the day one.My AOR is September 3rd and almost 6 months now and no news.I will order my GCMS notes today

Hello,

I can confirm, those two status lines never change until after they send you a request to submit your passport and they have received it, which is basically until the end of your application process. For me, it took around 4-5 months since they changed to "In Progress", and almost 6 months for the whole PR application process was complete. My application was submitted in August (see signature for details, in case you want to compare timelines), and just today I am expecting to get my passports with my Confirmation of Permanent Residence back. So 6 months in total!

Don't worry, you're within the time and you all should be getting PPR's soon

After this there is no update till today and when called CIC after completing the processing time, the agent said that the deadline for my application assigned by the VO is 26 June 2016 and I will hear something from CIC on or before this date. This means actual processing time for an Express Entry PR application is 1 Year.

Actually, no. You're fine and moving better then you think. Due to the terrible design of the system, you're in a stage where your background check is done and waiting for other security/criminality check to finish or your application has moved to another VO for processing. In either cases you're in great shape and your application is moving forward.
Source: Myself My BG check turned to "in progress" for only 4 days in all the 163 processing days I had. Most of the time it was "Not need at this time".
