Hi. I became a newly accepted permanent resident just a few days ago. I know the PR cards are automatically sent out to us, within a 30 day period I believe? I'm just wondering if anybody has gone through the same process and how long it took before you received the PR card in the mail? Was it less than or more than 30 days?

I landed on November 27th, 2009, PR Card was issued December 21st and I received it in the mail December 30th. 33 days.

It's urgent I have that card soon because I have to leave the country as soon as possible. And yes, I know it's possible to leave the country without a PR card but I need my PR card to apply for a foreign visa. Thanks,

10 days after my landing I was interviewed at the USA Consulate in Vancouver (I applied for a B2 visa) and since I had no PR Card yet, I took the Confirmation of Permanent Residence. :) Visa approved, B1/B2, valid for 10 years.
