How long CIC can hold PR renewal without responding?

Hi,

My PR renewal application (urgent processing, 750 days residence) is in process from Feb.2014.

Called them several times, no proper answer.

I just want to know - is there any maximum period for them that they should respond within,

giving at least some reason for their holding and asking from me, some more information required to process the application?

It all depends. If your application was sent off to the local office for RQ reasons, then you have been removed from the 'normal' timeline and there is not limit for how long they can take.

call CIC and check if they move it to the special department in Sydney or local for further review

how many days in Canada did u have when you applied?
what supporting documents did u include?
