Hi all,

I'm in the final stages of paperwork for sending in hubby's application. I am worried about how long it has been since his medical was done and how long it has been since his police certificate was issued and I'm trying to rush.

Does anyone remember how long exactly you have from the time of issue of Police Certificate and Medical paper until the date it has to be at CIC before they consider it too old and need a new one?

Thanks

It's three months for the police certificate.

As long as the medial is valid still then you can use it. Police certificate is 3 months and then you will need to get a new one to apply

I believe you have 1 year validity for medical exams but visa officers now have the abliity to extend the validity but I'm not sure for how long.

When do they check the validity of the pcc? If they take 54 days to process sponsor's papers, that doesn't give us much time, does it?

it's from the day the entire file was received by cic. the applicant's application is "received" the same date the sponsor's application is "received". even though it takes 2 months to process sponsorship eligibility, the date it was received is almost always the same day it was delivered.
