Hopefully you will get it soon. since it’s paper application they probably don’t want to be a jerk and hold your passport for too long.
How long after receiving the correspondence letter for biometrics, do you receive an answer?

Can you share your timeline type or application and from which country you submitted?
I have requested GCMS notes in late July. Let’s see what’s in there in late Aug. or early Sep. I bet it was approved around the date of biometrics letter. They are intentionally holding back approve letter and passport request. Cuz they don’t want us to be there to spread virus apparently.
Someone applied study permit from USA got GCMS note indicating that he was approved. But I do not think the system got any update for him

I applied work permit from india on March 20 2020, medical passed, i got GCMS notes about W/P application, its showing Reccomended interview.
my friend also applied work permit from india, he also got GCMS notes, its showing similar thing Reccomended Interview. My friend also applied on May 15, his GCMS notes showing similar thing reccomneded interview. No biometric letter recieved (though its already completed).
my question is:
did anyone apply GCMS notes after work permit or visitor visa or study visa during Covid-19 Pandemic and thier GCMS notes showing same thing as interview or review required. I think IRCC is holding all temporary applications due to Covid by this thing as Reccomended Interview or Review required.

I think so too. I applied for PGWP in March and received the correspondence letter in June. Nothing after
It might take some time. I received Biometrics invitation letter one month after filing my application and that was even before Pandemic.
So you might hear anytime this week or next week.
