province and in general for any new student for bachelor's degree for everything, food, culture, atmosphere, weather etc
Do you like the cold? Winter for 6 months. Need a lot of warm clothes. What type of culture? Winnipeg has a large indigenous population. Food - use google.

What program do you have an approved study permit for? As for future prospects research Manitoba PNP if you want PR. Don't leave the province and get a job with job offer.

So do some basic research.

So what do you want to know. What school? Winnipeg is very cold in winter. If you have never experienced winters then Winnipeg winters are on a whole other level. Will you have a car or relying on transporation. Downtown can be very sketchy especially in the evenings. The job market depends on your skills, who you know and you need to get networking. Food - you can find good restaurants. Culture/sports - there is theatre, opera, NHL, CFL, festivals, the Forks, museums.

yea and that's why many universities are closing soon :D nobody interested in those useless programs .Students come to get a PR , no more PERIOD

You are saying as if the "bad students" are not coming in anymore. Met one that came after the new rules in a somewhat decent Canadian uni - dude had no idea of what his curriculum was 1 month into his education.

ّI can guess the country LOL. I have met students who barely can make a sentence in English! I'm just wondering who the visa officers are

I am from that country. You aren't wrong. But, I'd say pretty much every country is sending their worst here. You know what we say "we send our best to the US, the worst to Canada/UK/AU/NZ". The issue is also of the universities here, there are very few handful worthy universities that should get int'l students ALMOST every other shouldn't. Most Indian students that I meet from McGill and the likes of it are good, after all, someone spending $250k on their education would be a bit more serious about it.

When it comes to undergrad university ed who attends is determined primarily who can afford to pay tuition and living expenses. If you look at what it takes to get into a top tier university in many, mainly Asian, countries it is pretty insane. Often based on a national exam as well. Many parents who have money know they can send their children to a very good university in another country if they don’t get into a top tier school in their home country. Also a face saving move if their child does well in school but didn’t get into one of the top tier universities they can just say their plan was always to go abroad to go to university. Most masters students attending top Canadian universities and who were honest in their study permit applications are very intelligent. Wasn’t always the case.
