Hi there,

I am just confuse with the 6 months maximum stay for TRV holders (multiple entry)......if one enters Canada say for 2 months (day 1 to day 60), cross the US border for a short trip and then re-enters Canada, does the counting continue from day 60 or start from day 1 again upon re-entering the country? Does leaving only for a few hours also considered as leaving the country? thanks :)

What's your citizenship ?

Actually it is my mom, she came from the Philippines but she is holding a Taiwan passport, she will be coming to Canada and US for a tour, so will leave & re-enter the country a couple of times since I can only accompany her mostly during weekends due to work, so need to know exactly how the counting works to make sure she will not over-stayed.

I am also confused about this. My wife entered Canada with me this January and her passport was stamped with an entry date. We then left for Mexico on a week later and returned to Canada after 1 week. The when she re-entered Canada her passport was not stamped again with an entry date. So we are also wondering when we should count this? the first entry or the second.

Once she entered in Canada, the counting start .
