Hello,

I have applied for EI and I have received my EI PLUS $2,000/- as CERB, which I never applied. I have received CERB for just 1 month. Now how could I repay this $2,000/- back to Government? Can I pay through CRA? I tried a million times to call CRA.

Please help

Thanks

I’m only replying because you might not know how to Google
I input
Repay CERB CRA
Why would you call when it’s clearly online
https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/benefits/apply-for-cerb-with-cra/return-payment.html

Sorry for being tooooo lazy.

I have added CRA Revenue Tax Amount Owing as payee. In the Account Number I put my 9 digits SIN Number and made the payment of $2,000/-

Online banking:
With your financial institution:

  1. Sign in to your financial institution's online banking service
  2. Under "Add a payee" look for an option such as: CRA (revenue) – tax instalment
  3. Enter your 9 digit social insurance number (SIN) as the CRA account number

Thanks a lot for your kind help. I don't know why I didn't google this. Sorry about that.

Thanks

Yes but you are also supposed to report any changes in your circumstances.
Oh Man, you saved me. I was terribly mistaken by the assumption that by not submitting online EI reporting CRA will know that I got a job and stop my EI payments. You don't know how much you helped me. Thanks

Just now I have submitted my Online Reporting and mentioned that I got a Full Time Job. I don't know how to Thank You.

Thanks a lot Sir

And I guess I am not too late to report the changes in circumstances. EI Online Reporting was due on 05-Jun-2020 and I submitted my EI Online Report on 11-Jun-2020

Thanks
