Again, you need a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer needs to get an approved LMIA. Then you will qualify for a work permit.

All the policy does is allow visitors to apply for work permits from within Canada (rather than having to apply from outside of Canada). A job offer and approved LMIA is still needed.

So you'll need to find an employer if you want to try to qualify for a work permit.

I am in visitor and I have past 12 month work permit in Canada..
Now,I am nominated by province with work permit support letter..
I applied work permit on September 22 for new temporary policy...
My question is...I have already written authorization web form to work while processing my application but still no reply...
Processing time mention in website 30 business days...
6 October they asking additional documents and I already submitted...
Why too much delay..

Did you get a job offer first of all?

Yes. You need a job offer, LMIA, then apply for a work permit. The new policy simply says that you are allowed to apply from within the country.

I have applied work permit in September 22 and October they asking additional documents ..I submitted the documents..but still no reply..
I am visitor with nominated by the province..
I don’t know why too much of delay..

is it possible if go flagpole..

Your work permit needs to be approved first, then you send your passport and documents to IRCC, they mail you back your work permit.

You cannot do flagpole without approval from IRCC.

I was a visitor. Turned out I went to the border and they gave me the work permit. Took about an hour total.
