Cross my finger that the status has been changed to IP for 2 weeks, I still not received any letters about requesting police cert. I already submitted the enquiries but need to wait any feedback. My lawyer asked me to wait the letter in order to get the police cert from HK police as I have no AOR2 that can't get the police cert straight. Ian, seems your case proceeded faster....I can't wait...
Same situation here. My status has changed to IP on Aug 8.
My agent asked me to wait as well and I have been studying and working in Canada since 17.
Still not sure whether i need to submit the HK police clearance. Im worried.

U also can use AOR1 to do a police cert. U just need to print the AOR1 email to police head office because the AOR1 also have the name of applicant(s).

hi Bukeluke,
probably I did it all documents and applications myself. (no lawyer & visa consultant). thanks for the website here to help me a lot. this is so useful to find what you need if you got any problems. If you find the third party to help, then it may delay few days to do the transfer/issues solving/clerical work from lawyer and etc... so it may delay your timeframe. and also I did the medical check/police cert in advance before they ask as well as PR card fee. ($1040). so it may speedup the process. most importantly that the application form must be fill-up concisely and don't miss anything before sending to CIC (Missa). this is my conclusion from this lesson learn.

From my experience that if you got IP from HKVO, need to wait for 6-8 weeks (Police check and medical checkup if expired) to change to DM and ask for PPR.

The Passport Request email show that:
"Ø Submit Original Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel documents for yourself and your accompanying dependants. If you and/or your dependents hold a Taiwan or Hong Kong SAR passport, or your passport otherwise exempts you from obtaining a visa to visit Canada (see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp#exemptions), send a PDF copy of your visa-exempt passports (all pages) to this visa office. All passports must be submitted together."

Trying to upload a PDF copy of HKSAR passport to HKVO, when I click in the link and select "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region" the link show on the following:

"Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
You need an eTA to visit or transit Canada by air if you hold a valid and subsisting Special Administrative Region passport issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

If you travel by land or sea, you will not need an eTA when you enter Canada. However, you must travel with proper identification.

Note: U.S. citizens do not need an eTA or a visa. However, proper identification must be presented at the border.

Applying for an eTA is a simple online process that takes just a few minutes. You will need your passport, a credit card, and an email address. It costs $7 CAD to get an eTA and it will be valid for up to five years."

Is that means I need to pay CAD$7 when I upload the passport via online under passport request from family sponsorship section? And what is eTA?

hi LN9714,

If you are going to send to HKVO, all you have to do is going to the Case Specific Enquiry - Hong Kong webpage to upload the PDF of your passport. please see your PPR website and click the webpage and fill-in your UCI and related information and upload it accordingly. and send the noted to HKVO to saying that you have already loaded along with your 3 pictures
in the registered mail.

hi Jmo1968,
sorry. I didn't see you are in PPR status on 20 Aug. I think you may get the COPR at the end of Aug if there are no other issues.

I have also seen from the other forum, one of the applicant got DM2 in 5 days after IP, and the application was received Dec 31, 14.
Now I am really worried about my application which was received 17th of November 2014.
Hi everyone! I need your suggestion on our case that if we need an intrerview...Our application was received on last December 11, on April 14 got AR2, then nothing happened... I have heard most of the Cases from December got IP or DM...I'm not sure what is wrong with our case...just nothing happen since Ar2. I am wondering what kind of case situation requests an interview. its our first marriage both for my wife and I. and I'm a Canidian citizen, we met each other through a dating web on August. 2011. At the first few years we were just normal friends till the end of 2013 we started to have serious talks about our futhure life together. I first visit her on Jan. 2014, and 4 months later we got married during my second visit her. My wife speak good english so there is no communication problem between us... so if we need an interview regarding our situation? anyone's opinion?

Thanks!

This is getting crazy. It's better off to apply for inland. Hope it's just a mistake. Thought bjvo is no longer receiving any application. Why is it 37 months now. Bizar. Fingers crossed we will all get our stamped visa asap.
