The official timeline for processing 80% of applications in Hong Kong, with the last quarterly update on May 20, is 10 months.

Gotcha. I should clarify, I was looking for the actual processing times seen by members getting DM.

But that is helpful! because that's very fast.

For example Ottawa says 16 mos but last year they were actually processing apps in 4-6 mos

Is there a Hong Kong spreadsheet?

There are separated spreadsheets of 2014 outland applicants in different months you may take that as reference, but in late March all the cases in Beijin VO were transferred to HKVO, so far they haven't heard anything since then, and we have no idea when HKVO is going to start processing those cases, also we do not know will that slow the process down or not, although on the website HKVO processing time is 10 months, but due to all the transferred cases I'd say the processing time is relatively unknown at the moment.

A couple of lat October applicants have received the visa today or last week, November applicants shall close to the end of the wait hopefully very soon.

Mine is from mid-Dec, so shouldn't be a long wait...

No problem! Just saw one applicant whose file was transferred to HKVO from Beijin VO is IP now, that means HKVO has started processing the cases from BJVO as well, it will be processed in the order of AOR1.

This is the applicant's timeline:

Jun 27 2014 AR
Oct 20 2014 DM1
Nov 13 2014 AR2 BJ
Mar 25 2015 BJ to HK
May 26 2015 IP

Another case was transferred from BJVO to HKVO is in process:

May/14/2014 AoR1
Sep/16/2014 AoR2 (BJVO)
Mar/25/2015 BJVO transferred to HKVO
May/26/2015 in process

seems like HKVO has started to work on those BJ cases too.

I guess we have to wait like no tomorrow :(

hi Mumof3,
The HKSB premier with global account is very useful. there is no charge for TT even the other bank like China bank. you only give service charge for China bank for TT and then free charge for premier global account. ( I asked bank this TT money to know that ....) and also you transfer any money from HK account to Canada account (CAN currency or US currency ). For me, I will keep it for convenience (money transfer ). for Logistics , I will ask it next month to compare the price and details. will let you know soon. I am still waiting for criminal checking (Police) and hopefully it will request soon from CIC.

Hi Mumof3,

(also how many boxes for 40' )..please kindly advise....

Thanks again..
Ian

Ian,

There are many topic in this forum about Cargo shipment form (B4), we are entitled ship used household items free of charge value under CAD 10,000/item holding AOR2 documents. My case is much easier my husband and kids returning CDN altogether.

How much for furmigation ?
I think around HKD 1900 for 20' and HKD 2600 for 40'

20' container (About 27 CBM) is Hugh for a family of 4 without furniture
example : carton box size 50*40*60 = 0.12 CBM (The biggest carton size) about 220 boxes

40' container (about 54 CBM)
I have 10 pallets furniture, and about 170 items (boxes and pcs)

Hi all!

November applicant here....submitted on 11/7.
Our case was transferred to HKVO on 2/11, they sent us an e-mail on 3/7.

Any other applicants from Taiwan here?

Yeah, I our application was received by the HK office in late march. I have no idea how long it will take. The CIC webpage said 8 months when it was received.

Hi! Are you guys going to wait in Taiwan until the decision comes through? Although I'm still hopeful that we will hear something in time to in Canada for September, I'm also wondering if we should consider waiting it out over there if it's only a difference of a couple of months.
