It says about health care contact details in Canada on arrival in Canada , my medical passed on 23rd March , after that this letter , no interview yet , pls let me know what is this letter . In your case did you recieve like this , u landed in Canada? .pls help me , waiting fo your reply . thankyou

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
Your immigration medical exam for entry to Canada shows that you have evidence of being infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
HIV is a virus transmitted from one individual to another through contact with blood or body fluids. Unprotected sexual contact and the sharing of contaminated needles, especially in intravenous drug use, with seropositive people, can cause HIV transmission. Infected pregnant mothers can transmit the virus to their babies during pregnancy, at birth and while breastfeeding. Being HIV positive means that your own body’s defence system can be weakened because you have been infected by this virus. Eventually, HIV infection may progress...

hello. I already received the Visa to travel to Canada. In 8 days I am going to travel to Canada. Regarding the email they sent you, it is positive because they must be working on your application. I hope that soon you can have the interview so that they finish with your application.

Hi Akunamachi, I just stumbled on this thread and I’m curious to know how it ended. Did you do the interview? I hope it was successful and has your visa been issued? I’m keeping fingers crossed and rooting for you as I as well is on a similar route

Hello all, I am happy to report that my spouse who is HIV positive passed the medical test and we both received our copr last month. There was no interview with the immigration officers but as soon as I knew if my spouse's status, I wrote them an email saying I am aware of it. They then requested my spouse to go see an infectious disease specialist referred to by IOM. My spouse had to repeat all blood tests including viral count and cd4. It cost quite a lot of money but we didn't go through any interview and passed medicals at the end. I hope this helps answer some of the questions here.

hello. I already had the interview with the immigration officer. we talked about the policy for people with HIV sponsored by their spouse. After discussing the policy, I asked him how to speed up the 60-day process since my partner knows my status and we want to continue with the process. The officer said that my partner should send an email explaining that he wants to continue the application and sent an image of his Canadian passport. furthermore the officer said that he was already at the end of closing my application. hope this helps.

Hey ,
When you say HiV positive, does it mean the RNA test is positive too? My spouse 707( antibodies/antigen) test is positive but further tests in specialist report come negative. They have again asked for the same test. Shall we go for the same test again or first confirm the issue with infectious disease specialist?

You can just write a web form to the visa office that's processing your case. Or find their email address on Google and drop them an email.
