I need help. I have a wife and Son in the Philippines that I'm sponsoring. My Wife has 11 family members in her family and I'm having a problem understanding if I need to get them all to fill paperwork and which application to fill out. If anybody could explain to me in my case of having a family of my wife, son and I with her family of 11 which paperwork needs to be filled out between IMM0008DEP and IMM5669.

You only fill in the people who are sponsoring and their dependents - so just your wife and son need the background information etc. You'll still put your wife's siblings and parents on the background sheet but they don't need all the photos and everything. Just their names, birthdays, and addresses (if you remember) are needed.

The Background IMM5669E Doc says only the principal applicant and the spouse, common-law partner or dependent child aged 18 years or older of the principal applicant fills that out. So doesn't that mean Only my wife needs to fill that out since my son is only 9 months old.

IMM0008DEP wouldn't this doc only be for her Dependents meaning our son?

IMM5406E isn't this the document for her siblings to sign?

For the purposes of the application, family members are your wife and the dependent son.

The only time you will mention other members is on the Additional Family Information, where she will write you as her spouse, her mother and father (in the first part), son (second part), and any siblings she has (third part), other than this, when they say family members and dependents, they're only referring to spouse and child.

Ok great thats what I was thinking. She has 11 family members. I"m guessing this would mean fill out the Additional Family application filling out 4 members as that's all the spaces per sheet then filling out another application with the same info adding the rest of the family members. Do we need to get them to sign any application that you know of or just their info?

Just their info. They don't need to sign. You don't need to add another application form to fill in the rest. You can just add an additional sheet of paper and continue in a word document. This is true for any extra space needed for the application.

Just make sure you label the top of the paper with the form number, just in case it gets separated (don't staple).

Also, just so you're clear, it is only parents, children, and siblings (not grandparents, not aunts/uncles, or not cousins)

Great I thought we had to get all their family member to fill out something or sign something so I was confused. I'm glad all we need to do is fill out the information of her brothers and sisters on her side and the same on my side.
