Hello, I need help my friend is USA without status and they just asked for her passport. The lawyer told her that his must return to his home country to be able to take his passport to the VAC, but this option is impossible for her because she is pregnant. Can she take her passport to the New York VAC? or it could not because it does not have an immigration status in the USA

Does she have a valid passport? If an interview is required she will have no choice but to her home country. She can submit her passport elsewhere.
